NO! Animal testing for cosmetics and cosmetic ingredients is prohibited in the EU. Naturally, Nature Box also follows this ban. We do not test products on animals at any point during the production process. We are happy to say that our brand is entirely vegan and cruelty-free.

YES! All Nature Box products are 100% Vegan. We do not use of animal products, by-products or derivatives into our formulations. And of course that includes NO animal testing. Nature Box does not use microplastics such as microbeds and opacifiers in its products, including Acrylate, Polyquaternium, Methicone, Siloxane, Polyamide, Polyimide and Ethylen-vinylacetat. Ugh, even their names are not environmentally friendly! Furthermore, we strive for a circular economy to prevent the improper disposal of our product packaging from contributing to the formation of microplastics.

Palm kernel oil is an essential raw material for the production of surfactants (i.e. the rinse-off products’ detergent substances). Nature Box believes that palm oil plays an important role in our products, but the improper way of harvesting palm oil is. Therefore, Nature Box joined forces with the development organization Solidaridad to support local farmers on sustainable palm oil harvesting in various regions of the world.

No! Our Nature Box products are free from parabens, silicones, artificial colorants, and sulfates*! We managed to make our products look and feel amazing without these chemicals! *Depending on the product

All components of Nature Box are subject to Henkel’s (our Parent Company) strong responsible sourcing standards. On responsible sourcing, two specific projects are in place (we are using mass balanced palm oil, sponsoring the NGO Solidaridad. We are integrating as well mass balanced Guar, sponsoring NGO Technoserve cf. below). Nature Box bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic, so-called Social Plastic, which is collected at beach and land.

Recycling is subject to local law and guidelines so that no internationally valid answer is available as to the % degree of recyclability. From material theory, however, the packaging is 100% recyclable.

Henkel, the parent company of Nature box is engaged in reducing its carbon footprint in all steps of the product lifecycle, and the most weighed factor in the carbon footprint of rinse-off products is the use of water at consumer homes. The initiative aims at motivating the consumer to save water while using our products. More information can be found under:https://www.smarterinitiative.com/en/home.html
